Copyright Notice and Takedown Policy

Overview

M1xer respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the platform to do the same. In accordance with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (“CDPA 1988”) and the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 (as retained in UK law), M1xer will respond expeditiously to valid claims of copyright infringement.

M1xer operates as a hosting provider. Where we receive a valid notice of infringing content we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material in question.

Submitting a Copyright Notice

If you believe content hosted on M1xer infringes your copyright under UK law, please send a written notice containing all of the following:

  1. Your full name and contact information: postal address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. If acting as an agent: confirmation of your authority to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  3. Identification of the copyright work(s) you claim have been infringed.
  4. Identification of the infringing material — include the specific URL(s) on m1xer.net.
  5. A statement that you have a genuine belief that use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A declaration that the information in your notice is accurate to the best of your knowledge and belief, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.

Please include "Copyright Notice" in the subject line. We aim to acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and to act on valid notices within 10 business days.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If your content has been removed following a notice and you believe the removal was in error or the result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  1. Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Identification of the removed material and its former URL on m1xer.net.
  3. A statement of the grounds on which you assert the material was removed in error or by misidentification.
  4. A declaration that the information in your counter-notification is accurate to the best of your knowledge and belief.
  5. Consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for any dispute arising from the counter-notification.

On receipt of a valid counter-notification we will notify the original complainant. If no court proceedings are notified to us within a reasonable period, we may restore the material at our discretion.

Repeat Infringers

M1xer will terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
